I'm a google addict. I see they are trying for world domination, but heck, they are doing it well. What do I mean?
First, everyone knows (or should know) Google, as it's the best and fastest web search service. Then there's GMail, which is nowadays the most usable mail service - its way to replace folders with labels and threads with conversations, and its very eficient spam filter makes it a must-have. The 2.7GB storage space (and it's raising) is also good; the other small comfort addons (the autosave, the contact lists, the search method, the way you can integrate your other addresses) makes it perfect. (Though I'd prefer an imap connection instead of POP3...)
Google Talk was first only a chat system inside gmail, but now it has a standalone client (and since it's using Jabber protocol, it can be used with most universal IM softwares), which has the best VoIP and file transfer attributes of those I've tried. Also has a built-in gmail notifier, but that's basic.
There was Google Earth. It's very useful, and though I don't use it directly, I still use its database through http://maps.google.com.
Then came Google Calendar. I looked at it, and thought "Cool, but I won't use it.".
I do use it.
Google Desktop is a neat help in my office. The search function is cool, but it's the gadgets that makes it a convenient tool: the calendar snippet, the mini calculator, the notepad (which stores its data account based so I can see it from any computer I login to with my acc), the ToDo, the RSS watcher...
Have I mentioned that blogger.com is owned by google?
